What would be the appropriate aluminum Day 2 intake for a '69 BB with oval ports?

The rectangular port intake can be used on oval port heads. There are quite a few vintage aluminum intakes for oval port heads though.

Marlin I would guess you are refering to a single 4 barrel intake. Edelbrock, Offenbauser an Weiand made single four barrel intakes back then for round ports but many were designed for Quadajets but I can't remember for sure..I will have to check my catalogs and get back with you. No one made a round port tunnel ram back in the day. Weiand was the first to do so and that version did not come out until 1977- 1978 ish. |

They most certainly <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-weight: bold">did</span></span> make a Torker with oval ports: The "TM2O".
I even used one on a big block powered pickup truck way back when. You could also use a C396 (dual plane) or a C66 (dual plane, dual four barrel) -- all for an oval port BB Chevy. Wayne |

I used an oval-port Torker on my '67 Camaro back in the 80's. I loved the way the big Holley carb sat an angle. Great intake for power all the way up to around 6700 rpm where I shifted at.

C396 would be a great choice for the street.
