The vacuum pump should not be needed with a stock rebuild of an L34. I don't recall if there were any cam spec's listed, but if it needs a pump with even a mild cam, there is something wrong with the engine/timing.
When I saw the tail pipes hanging too low and the goofy tips along with all the other "stuff' is about when I just shook my head and closed the link.
It COULD have been a very nice example with just few more hours and parts to make things appear correct...
