COPO rear brake line setup

I am replacing the rear brake lines on a 69 COPO camaro and am not sure if this car had the same pressure regulator valve (I guess that's it's function) as the Z28, an in-line valve located underneath the driver's side floor pan. The car has a 05D build date, if that makes any difference. The current brake line setup does not have this valve but is a 2 piece line that mates under the driver's side floor pan rather than a 1 piece line from front to rear.

Re: COPO rear brake line setup

Joe,

Sounds like a repair at some point. I've never seen the
rear brake line joined in the location where the valve is.
I hope someone didn't bypass that valve, if it was originally
there.

One clue to look for: Look at the location on the outer
drivers frame rail and see if the mounting location for the
valve shows any signs of one ( valve ) ever being mounted.
The hole for the self tapping screw should show signs of
threads at least.

I would think that an 05D car would have the valve in question though. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif
