1968 Dick Harrell

Re: 1968 Dick Harrell
That is one beautiful Nova. The only thing that would make it cooler would be if it was a 4 spd.

----Another H-of-H car. Can anybody comment on the dashboard, specificly the area where the radio would be?.....Bill S

Re: 1968 Dick Harrell
I think Ed Cuneen owned that car. Sold it to Dave Belk. I think Dave had yellow slapper bars on it. Pretty car. I was thinking that the deuce, and this car were in the same collection in Texas. Seems that gentleman may have had all 4 color of the Gibb Novas at one time.

But then it wouldn't be a COPO though I agree, autos can be quite boring at times. |
Re: 1968 Dick Harrell
Awesome car!!! If I had the funds I would love to own a car like this. With that being said I'm kind of disappointed what 200k will get you. I see a lot of small cosmetic things wrong with the car. Most of them detail things that wouldn't cost a lot to fix. One is a major eye sore. But if I was spending 2ook and wanted a Gibb car I guess those small things wouldn't matter then.......

Re: 1968 Dick Harrell
Nice car. Looking at this piece of documentation I believe the imprint in the top right corner is supposed to be of the POP. It looks like the engine code is MQ which I thought was the code for an L78 with a manual transmission in 1968. Did they use MQ for the Gibb Nova's as well? I would have thought they would have a different engine code since they were TH400's.

Re: 1968 Dick Harrell
Not sure about the Gibb Novas but pretty sure dealer prepped cars started life out as L78 cars.. Of course exception would be the very early 67s..

Re: 1968 Dick Harrell
Gibb COPO Novas were all L78 Turbo 400 cars.
