Turbo 400 info need
1 Attachment(s)
I have a Turbo 400 Trans that I was told came out of a van. The case has up close to the bell housing area has HD 44 on it, It also has a bolt in yoke. Are these Heavy Duty? And are they any better than a regular Turbo 400 Trans? Worth holding onto?
Thanks, Ray |
Re: Turbo 400 info need
You'll see bolt in yokes in the heavier chassis applications, like duallies, box vans, school buses, etc...some of the heavier stuff used straight cut planetaries, which save a bit of drag but are a tad noisier, and to have these gears it had to have a bolt on yoke. Otherwise though a 400 is pretty much a 400...
