1969 ZL-1 Powered Camaro

This is the third ZL-1 powered Camaro I’ve built in the past year and a half. Like the others, I built these cars to drive, with the options that I would have ordered and as close to an original ZL-1 as would matter from a visual, driving or performance stand point.

#1 Frame off rotisserie restoration on what was originally a very rust free Norwood X11 V8 4 speed Camaro. With exception of the deck lid and cowl hood (I have the originals) the car has all original body panels and floors. Body was media blasted and painted in show quality PPG base coat / clear coat. Undercarriage is like new. Virtually everything on this car is new or restored to like new condition.

This is a GM 3946053 ZL-1 block. With the exception of being built to 10.5:1 comp. ratio the engine was built to ZL-1 specs using the correct .620 lift mechanical cam.

Engine, transmission and rear end are fully warranted for 6 months

I have tons of pictures before, during and after restoration, so just ask.

Options:

COPO 9560
ZL-1: All Aluminum GM 427cid 515 hp(in stock trim)

M22: HD Muncie 4 Speed “Rock Crusher”

Rick,
The pic of your car with the dog dishes is the best looking Camaro I have ever seen! Beautiful.

Great minds think alike. My wife asked if we could trade the EK2 Challenger TA! I told her we would be a little short. She said "throw in the Z/28 clone". I said "how about your '68 vert"? She left. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

I get it. She's willing to trade your stuff but when it comes to her 68 vert she brakes and runs. Clever girl.

Why but a Foose, etc., when you can buy this for a lot less? Foose's are cool but this just makes me https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/drool.gif

Bill...you need this! It'll look perfect next to the '67!

Think of it as your sons high school graduation present. You can just "use it" until then! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Car looks great Rick...good luck!

"Bill...you need this! It'll look perfect next to the '67!"

I like the sound of that Bruce, your check's in the mail.

Thanks so much for all the positive comments. It means a great deal to me.

IMO It's hard for Foose or anyone else for that matter to improve on near perfection and the look and styling of a 69 Camaro is near perfection. That and maybe a 70 Chevelle. My tastes may not be that original but man do I love the look of both those body styles.

Thanks again

That's what I get for telling her the '68 was hers. I had no choice, it was the first car I brought home, I had to think on my feet.

Beautiful cars Rick, which one are you selling - with or without spoiler?
(I'm not buying, just curious...)
Thanks,
-Sam

Sam

Thanks for the comment. The car is one in the same. I'm selling it with two set of wheels and tires as well as two deck lids. One with a spoiler and one with out. I could not decide which way to go when building it so I went both ways. That way it can be trimmed out with the plan jane look or a more sporty look with the rallys and spoiler.

Thanks
