Mick Price's (MPrice) Amazing 1966 SS Chevelle!
24 Attachment(s)
Hi Bruce,
We just recently finished a complete frame of resto on this original 375 horse 66 Chevelle. It was a rust free body so that made it much easier than most. It came with original pictures of the car, including the engine bay when new. I also have the original sales invoice and loan papers identifying it as an L78. Interior is all original except the carpet. W:eek2:W Mick! ~ Pete . |
Thanks guys, I know there is a few minor details I have to take care of yet, one of which is the color of the alternator fan should obviously be flat black as you can see from the 1966 photos. I used the zinc because frankly I just think they look so much better that way. I do have another fan to switch it out just to be correct.

Black/red is impossible to beat |
Are you bringing it to MCACN? I'd love to see it in person.
|
That interior just pops and it’s original!! Just wow!
|
I didn't register it for the MCACN for this year. I thought about it but I would assume it would be full at this late date.
|
Yes the interior is original with exception of the carpet and I forgot but we did replace the dash chrome plastic. The old plastic wasn't bad but the new is just that much more crisp. All the dash paint and pad is the born with parts. One of the previous owners had turned it into a world of wheels car with a lot of chrome under the hood and carpet in the trunk even the underside of the deck lid had carpet glued to it.

I help with move in each year and I know for a fact that at the last minute there are some additions and some folks that drop out, so I would hope there is a way that Bob could get this awesome Chevelle a spot!! PS: I have a soft spot for 1966 Chevelle SS396, and for 4 speed, and for L78, and for red interiors, and for cars with full history, and and and (this one ticks all the boxes!!) Ryan W31 |

Wow what a combo! Doesn't get any better.
|
Mick, I have a copy of an article in Camaro Corral magazine from
may-June 1992 about my 1969 Daytona Yellow Yenko Camaro, your name is on the address label of the magazine cover. Do you still have that magazine? Frank |
I am not sure what issue you are referring to but it is likely here somewhere in my bookshelf.
|
Such a nice car
