Awesome car - I think it's a little overpriced, but how incredible would this one look with some deliberate preservation and paint renewal?

Parts taken off 69 L78 to get it running

Why not keep looking for a set of nicer unrestored bars to stay with the theme? You are only interested in this style? Second question, what is the presumed benefit of unequal length traction bars?

I don't know for a fact but believe that is done because they pre oil the compressor and add more and than apply a vacuum seal to it to keep all moisture out of it.

It is not original paint. Its like a hammer-tone silver. They are not "original" (meaning added to the car during its life before me) to the car but since I am adding other Day 2 items the bars...

After you spin a case using a lathe…..at the top...

After you spin a case using a lathe…..at the top where it meets the bullnose (I call it) they become the same thickness. Whereas an original case is larger in this same area where they meet.
