Default AMT 65 Falcon "F/X" model

Found this at the hobby shop today (see pic). Brand new re-release of the cool AMT '65 427 SOHC Falcon altered wheelbase "F/X" model. This new release has Phil Bonner "Daddy Warbucks" decals. Until now you had to pony up big dollars for the old release on eBay or buy a resin copy but this new release was $21. The only drawback is the tires are molded in white plastic, as is the rest of the kit. Yes, there is a nice chrome tree. I also noticed the old AMT '66 Comet Cyclone AWB model has been re-released too. Good timing---still in the middle of winter. Now I have a Ford to go with my AMT "Rat Packer" '65 AWB Nova hardtop.

Okay, here's a pic of my AMT "Rat Packer" Nova. I scrounged the "Distortion" decals out of my 30+ year old decal box and they were originally from the AMT '55 Nomad. I painted the motor Chevy Orange with "aluminum" heads.

Fairlane's engine. I don't get crazy with ignition wires and aftermarket metal-etch detail sets. I still build'em just like I did in 1975 when I was 13. Just for fun, nothing else. Another form of "therapy," just as is driving my '67 Camaro.

Fender shot with the oh-so-cool 427 emblem. Note "Holleys" under the air cleaner. I just brush on some Testor's gold paint on the carbs and they look great.

Thanks Sam. I take great pride in getting impressive results from rattle cans. I am a maestro with those little spray model paints, if I do say so myself.
