Known as “Bloodshot”, the vision of this build was to create the ultimate Resto-mod with a sexy appearance along with modern comfort and performance features. The mission was accomplished with this one-of-kind street cruiser. As the VIN, indicates this car was built in St. Louis, MO, as a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-door with an 8-cylinder engine. This car was the product of a nut and bolt rotisserie restoration with tons of high-end parts. This car is in high show quality condition from top to bottom. Since completion it has been proven to be user-friendly and very reliable. The exterior is absolutely beautiful in every sense of the word. The body is extremely straight with great panel gaps throughout. It was finished in House of Kolor Blue Blood Red and White paint. The paint was done to a high level and was recently detailed to a deep shine. It has all new tinted glass throughout and all of the bright-work is brilliant. Some exterior custom features include chrome mirrors, Optronics LED headlights, smoothed one piece front and rear bumper. The car has sits on 17” Budnik Muroc II polished wheels with Bridgestone tires. The gorgeous custom tan leather interior was done by award winning Ron “The Stitcher” Mangus who has become famous as a creator of fabulous interiors. The interior in this car was featured on the cover and on eight pages of the Ron Mangus Custom Hot Rod Interior Series Chevy Tri-Five book which is included. Some interior custom features include the sound insulation, door sills, chrome plated brass trim and hardware, electric Custom Rod Gauges white gauge cluster, painted tilt steering column, Budnik Beveled Sport steering wheel, Lexus SC400 adjustable power front bucket seats, Vintage Air conditioning system, AC vents, “one touch” up/down power front and rear windows that operate also with remote control, power locks, electronic cruise control, hidden CD/iPod stereo system, cup holders, storage compartment and German square-weave carpet. The trunk compartment was also upholstered in matching leather and German square-weave carpet. An Optima red top battery with disconnect switch is located in a storage area behind center panel in the trunk. The painted engine compartment is highly detailed and dressed with many accessories such as Billet Specialties aluminum hinges. The firewall and inner fenders were smoothed for a clean look. It also has a fabricated radiator support. The car is powered by a 5.3L LS based V8 engine with a polished Magnacharger Supercharger and air-to-water intercooler. Some custom features include American Auto Wire wiring system, Howell engine management system, painted valve covers, powder coated oil pan, pulleys, brackets, hoses, braided stainless steel lines, aluminum AC condenser, power coated AC compressor, chrome Delphi alternator and mini hi-torque starter. The engine is cooled by a custom aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, polished fan shroud and polished overflow container. The engine breathes through ceramic coated headers and Magnaflow exhaust system with chrome exhaust tips. The engine is coupled to a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission with custom pan. The power is transferred to the pavement through a Ford 9” POSI rear end. The undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout with many upgrades. The original frame was powder coated and modified by Williams Classic Chassis. The power steering box, steering linkage and reservoir were also powder coated. The suspension system consists of a powder coated Heidts front suspension system along with a front sway bar, 2” drop spindles, polished front coil over adjustable shocks and polished rear adjustable shocks. The power braking system consists of painted 7” dual reservoir brake booster, Wilwood master cylinder and Wilwood four wheel disc brakes. This vehicle has recently been serviced and detailed, which is documented with an invoice that is included. From the MS CLASSIC CARS collection.
