The purpose of this thread is to post collection of Vintage Yenko related. I will make this sticky so it stays at the top. I will start it off but encourage everyone to post in this thread. Don passed Mar 5th 1987. This article came out in April 1987.

This article was in the April 1987 issue of Muscle Car Review and it came out right before Don passed away. I believe the announcement of his passing was in the very next issue of MCR. I don't think they updated the article for the annual.

Thanks. Yes it makes sense. The original article in April edition made no mention because it was already printed/distributed before his passing. I know it was mentioned in the following months editions, but not in the 1988 annual edition. Note it states display until May 15 1988.

Default Three wild days with legendary Don Yenko racing April 1981

This article provides a glimpse into Don Yenko. He reminisces about the early Stingers, Yenko Camaro. Also in his present creation 1981 Yenko Turbo and his Citation X11 SSB division racing program.

There have been some great people attend the show with their prized grocery getters. Good to see cool cars and the stories they share .

I was there and remember it well. Many good memories from that day for me. Was it really 26 years ago? I was only 13 years old then. I'll be 40 in December!
