Incredibly unique car for sure! Just 280 3 on the tree '71 cars built. My understanding is the 3-speed was the standard transmission for the base 350 2bbl the 1st gen Montes came with, with the TH350 standard on the 350 4 bbl.

This is the first Monte I've seen with a column manual trans, but there were still a number of Chevelles being built with 250 6 cylinders and 3 speeds, so the column existed to install.
Intriguing car, to be sure, but I think his starting price is about all it is worth and the bidding kind of reflects that.
