You may well be correct on that statement.
I think we should have a plaque made up and present it to him at MCACN... The PPP Award

Thanks guys. I have been grinding on this for the last few weeks. Going over the PV again and again. The horror stories are numerous about part failures, poor interpretations of proper operations, and plain old sh!t luck.

I had lots of good advice from people who understood the process, and wanted to see the car succeed. To say I have been surrounded by good people is an understatement.

I also found out this weekend, the car will indeed qualify to get it's 5th Star on the Bowtie Award (in addition to being judged for the Duntov Mark of Excellence Award). The 5th Star is more of a participation award, as it promotes the display of the car to be utilized as a learning tool.

In all, I feel it would be pretty cool if I could get my 5th Star and the Duntov Award (assuming it would still judge at a minimum of 97%) at the 50th anniversary meet. I guess it could be said then the car has run the table in any marque specific judging scenario.

More importantly than that.......I was able to spend a bunch of time with Bill Wente this weekend, along with his friend Brian. As many of you may know, Bill and Brian recommissioned the attached 65 coupe (belonging to Bill's cousin and original owner Paul). I had the opportunity to meet Paul this weekend. Paul was certainly enjoying the car and the attention. So many of the judges stopped to visit with Paul, Bill and Brian. Their efforts resulted in a 2nd Flight Award. A first class time with first class people.

On a side note........the Featherlite pulled like a dream. Big difference from the ATC.

Worth noting...additionally...while Tim was goofing off in Iowa, Tracey was taking care of business at home....picking up and personally loading the trans for the '62 and delivering it back to the shop. She's a keeper

Thanks for the kind words Tim, a great time was had by all!
