Default '69 COPO Chevelle

Any idea why this presumed COPO sold for $58K in the May Mecum auction? Current seller is trying to flip it for $137k on the Detroit craigslist.

Default 1969 Chevelle

I looked this over while at Mecum Indy. Attached are photos of the trim tag and CE stamped block. I didn't crawl under the car to try and get a photo of the rear stamp. Nothing about it made me think it was a COPO. They only mention the COPO program in the auction listing but don't specifically call this particular car a COPO. I wonder if the current seller will provide a photo of the rear?

Cheers,
Marty

Thanks, agree that the trim tag doesn’t look consistent with other COPOs.

Mecum sale estimate of $125 - $150K and it sells for $58K? Probably a good reason for that.

Believe that stands for the last digit of the year Bill.
Seeing as Texas didn't start that Inspection sticker design with a barcode untill the year 2000,it has to be from the year 2000.
