Yessir, I miss those days too. Yeah, we can find most anything we want on the big www now, but usually not local and with a worldwide market, seems everything is overpriced now.
Bought my first Harley out of that paper in December 1997. Test drove it too and froze my ass off, but had a grin frozen on my face...

Hard to establish a value on these Rob? Obviously there's a cool vintage thing to it, but to those who buy this old stuff...they want cool but they also want it at a cool price. I'd think that the Facebook pages/groups that market vintage parts would be the best place to expose it to the market. Maybe price it at $500 to see how it's received as it is? Maybe someone with an old TriFive or someone with a Gasser might step up on it for a project car?

I have a couple old shifters that I bought as spares including a completely rebuilt (Dead Mint) Hurst Ram Rod, and nice V-Gate and also have another Super Shifter. I'm thinking of trying to score a couple wounded old Muncie cases and mock these up onto a stand that I would like to build into a Hurst style Display Unit. Cool old shifters to hang onto or play with.

Well damn, I recycled a broken case when I moved 2 years ago. I purged a LOT of stuff I had kept for too long. Never thought to keep for a display...

I've seen the common one that used to be in the speed shops, and have also seen some cool home made ones where a guy built the frame, hung a couple cases onto it, mounted a pair of 4 speed shifters and had a print shop bang out a sign that looked like Hurst made it all up. Looked real good when he was done and is easy to do as a shop project and a cool display piece.

Perhaps Russell Rosales can chime in here and post a pic or two of his buddies stand that he made up. There was also a few pics on IG but I've gotten off the media wagon now and don't have access to those pictures.

Pretty sure Leonard Long is still around doing shifters and G-Force sticks. I have a Long shifter on my Jerico. Leonard Long promotes and may still race in the “Pro Stick” series that I sometimes compete in. It’s a great group of guys, a great group of cars, and you had best be on your game if you wanna play.

OK...I found that picture of the home built Hurst display stand I had seen on Instagram. This one is complete with the 2 transmission cases used to mount up the shifters and makes for a killer display piece in any muscle car garage or shop display. For reference purposes...
