I am glad that I switched to MK a few months back. I was with Hagerty at least 20 years.

I made a thread about this a few months back, when they sent me a notice that it was forthcoming. I'm still waiting to hear beck from MK. She had to look into whether she could get private insurance on my rollback, rather than commercial.

Hagerty will probably start buying up the smaller collector carriers, they are flush with cash, $$ is still cheap and M+A in the insurance space is rabid right now. Seems they are no longer serious about the stand alone 1 -2 car owner policy, they want the Mega Million dollar collections, too many players now, and too much turnover in the small stuff

I live 10 miles from Hagerty’s home office and was a customer at one time. I switched probably 20 years ago because of premiums. I know a lot of people that work for them, so last year I thought I’d get a quote, just to see how competitive they’d be. I’ve currently got five cars insured and their quote was nearly double my current premium.

I’ve only ever had one claim on my cars, not Hagerty, with no issues with the repairs. One thing with Hagerty is, they are very good with claims and I’ve never heard of any issues with customers getting their cars repaired to their satisfaction. No doubt there has been, but the situations I know of the customer has been happy.

----I recently had to have my wife, Jan's beater Mercedes towed. I called my ins.guy and had to leave a message. Their policy charges $50 a year for all our drivers. Then, wanting to get the job done, I called Hagerty and found that my tow policy with them covered all my cars, not just those insured by them. They got the job done and within 20 minutes a rollback was in my driveway. Called my ins. guy and had him cancel my 50 buck tow policy.....Bill S
