Default 1970 LS6 Barn Find

Another great LS6 rescued. I had heard of this LS6 find months ago, it was rescued and resurrected. Love the domed hood with factory applied stripes. Nicely opted and very unmolested and complete. Great to see it being cared for and driven! A few members were involved in this discovery.

That first pic threw me for a loop for a second, I just dragged this home today, It's ugly El Camino cousin, too bad its not an LS6 car, just a parts car.

My guess would be the assembly line build sequence number.

Typically the last two or three digits of the full sequence number are written on components that are built up on subassembly lines and then conveyed in sequence to the main line (front end sheetmetal, rear axle, tire/wheel assemblies, seats, etc).

My Flint built pickup was "number 87" (full sequence number was probably around 133887).

That is in fact the last three numbers of the job sequence number that is found in box 1 of the buildsheet. These are commonly found on Baltimore Chevelles and more rarely on some other plant cars. I find these on the bottom of the hood, hood latch, snorkel tube, door jamb, top of the heater box and top of the fuel tank to name a few.

The first 2 photos are of Oliver Pask's white LS6 I am currently restoring.

The one labeled 504 is of Harry Snow's 8000 mile survivor Baltimore L34. I have several more examples in my data base.
