Default 72 gto

----I have a friend that is considering buying a 1972 GTO hard top with a 4-speed and 455 HO. He doesn't know enough about it yet but he thinks it is rare as delivered, like one of three. Any of the Pontiac nation know 72 production figures. we have a long way to go, but knowing that will be a big help!....Bill S

I have a 72 GTO, 455 2 door post car and it’s , pretty rare , 1 of 5 built. On the 455 HO , Hardtop Coupe they are also rare , ballpark I believe it’s 635 total built with 310 manual and 325 automatic cars

You'll find some people who think a WW5 GTO is the best-balanced GTO of them all. Worth a look even if it's not 1 of 3.
