My Chevelle does have a 12 bolt in it - I have not gotten to checking the codes on the rear or the trim tag.

What engine options was the 12 bolt available in?

One of the previous owners remembered the engine being in the camaro when it was sold by a friend of his to a guy in Nj. There is a post in pit racing about the camaro, it was originally raced as Macs Chevrolet then as the RD Shaker. The car was changed from cranberry red to Cadillac brown in 1973, then changed again to another shade of brown with the stripes in 1981.

Almost forgot, when I finally contacted Rich who owns the camaro, he said he sold the engine on eBay back in 2004. Rich luckily for me still had the shipping invoice. That led me to Maine and finally getting the motor back.

Oops, thought that was Black Cherry but it is Brown.
From Cranberry Red to Brown?
Makes you wonder even more why the previous owner would do a color change like that
Will look a lot better back to Red IMO
I wonder if it came with the Open Air element or Dual Snorkel closed Air filter system, the only way of knowing would be a build sheet.
