9700-mi Orig Paint '68 Corvette 427/435, Docs
Cool car...NOM, but should nevertheless bring a solid number given the originality, condition, and docs. Beautiful colors too. Still all original paint except for the L88 hood, added in '70. Just dig this one.
Coincidentally, it was also sold new at Long Chevrolet in the Chicago burbs, which is where my first car (1977 Caprice) was sold. I haven't seen that dealer decal in forever, when I DA'd it off the Caprice decklid prior to repainting it. Wish I'd had the foresight to take a couple pictures of it so I could have had it reproduced. Link to 1968 Corvette L71 auction 194378S416801 |

Love how the Original Owner also added a ZL1 in 1970 along w/ the L88 Hood, too bad it's not still sporting it now but surely the best ever reason for an original lump to be MIA. Sad is it will likely soon end up wining awards w/ "matching #'s" parts which seem to be worth more than originals now, better would be add another ZL1...also lose the rally rims. ~ Pete .

They were our "REEDMAN" equivalent,as they had the largest inventory here, and everyone owned at least 1 vehicle from them back then.

I remember those adds when I was home from college. I'd love to see the paperwork on this one. Add a set of American Mags/Hooker headers and enjoy.
