Hi RobR,
I've actually seen this car about 12 years ago. I took some photos of these stickers. The owner invited me to see the car. Thanks for sharing your photos, Mike |

RobR,
Did you previously own this green '67 Vette coupe with these QC glovebox stickers? These shown stickers were extremely helpful to me when I went to view them in person. My '66 Vette was missing the right side "Car Needs Service" sticker when I bought it way back. It had evidence of a sticker being there at one time but was illegible. Many years passed until I was invited to see/photograph these shown stickers. The mystery was then solved. Since then I've only found one other example of these stickers from another '66 Corvette listed on BAT. Sadly those were out of focus but were identifiable as the same stickers placed in the same locations on the glovebox door. Thanks again for sharing these 3 photos. Mike |

Hi Mike, Small world! No I’ve never owned this Vette, I’m friends with the owner Dean and his son Jeff. I remember when you traveled out to look it over. I believe they said you were familiar with the area, possibly stationed at McGuire Air Force Base, Rob.

Hi Rob,
Wow, it is a small world! It's hard to believe that it's been 12 years already since Dean invited me up to see his '67 and these excellent stickers. I gave him a copy of an old Queen City sales invoice that I had as a thank you to him. It was good to meet you all that day. And I'm glad that Dean still owns this '67. Yes, I am quite familiar with central New Jersey. Well, from what I remember how it used to be when I was stationed at McGuire AFB back in the early '80s. I've done my share of research on these glovebox stickers and so far I've only found them on '66-'67 Corvettes. I'm hoping to find other year/car examples. Please tell Dean and Jeff that I say hello. And I'd very much like to see this beautiful '67 again someday. Mike P.S. Special thanks to The Supercar Registry for uniting me with these old acquaintances! Mike, Didn’t know if you had seen this, in the upcoming Mecum auction in Indy they are offering a 67 Yenko Camaro from Queen City Chevrolet that has a metal dealer emblem on the tail panel.

Hi Rob, THANK YOU! This is exactly what I was hoping that someone would post! Now I know for sure that Queen City Chevrolet DID put metal rear emblems on the back of some of the cars sold from there back in the day. These Yenko Camaro photos tell it all. Sorry for the late response Rob. I was away from this site for quite a spell. Just found your post. Thanks so much and thanks to The Supercar Registry, Yenko.Net! P.S. Dean may want to check under his taillight panel/rear deck area for evidence of these metal emblem filled holes. Tough for him now but easy for me since my car is wide open back there right now on her body dolly. Mike Last edited by VetteSpaz; 04-19-2022 at 03:40 PM. |
