Re: Carlisle GM Nationals
I think it's kind of funny how people sit home on the internet and say the show is not big enough for them to attend.
No, it wasn't very big but it was a perfect weekend, with sunny skies and warm temps. My brother and I decided to make it a fun Father's Day weekend and got a few swap meet spaces with our dad. It was the first time we sold stuff there in about a decade, and we had a blast! We cooked out, drank beer, told stories, saw old friends, and sold a ton of our stuff. Customer traffic was pretty much non-stop in our spaces on both Friday and Saturday, and we all sold more than we ever thought we would. Mostly though we just enjoyed a nice weekend, family style. Yes I wish it was a bigger show, but the only way that will happen is if people actually come out with cars, and parts, and themselves and support it! We had such a good time we are planning to renew our spaces and do it again next year. I do agree it needs more support from GM enthusiasts to allow it to continue. So next year, instead of sitting on the computer and complaining about it, come on out and help make the show succeed! We'll save a cold one for ya!

Re: Carlisle GM Nationals
I do that at Charlotte. 510 miles away. It is sooo nice to just get away. My dad, uncle and close family friends go. We have been doing it for 23 years. I take such a wide variety of parts it is hard for people to know what I have because they see the Camaro parts and think that is what I have. This Spring was my beat year. In the end it is about spending quality time with dad

Re: Carlisle GM Nationals
Joe,
I was right behind you on Sat., next to that red Chevy pick-up. Sorry I didn't see you. That set of Rallys is in the back of my truck now. I brought them home for a friend who bought them. Verne |
