the fastest car i remember in winston salem nc in the 70's was a blue 67 r/t 440 car.
car was ratty looking but he won a lot. the only hemi car i saw back then was a black hemi charger with a 383 in it. they raced on friday nights at the yadkin river bridge at the forsyth county/yadkin county line on route 67.it was a great time to be a teenager.
