They first showed up as part of the 1968 Mustang GT option hence they had the "GT" emblems:



Then they became an option on the GT/CS California Special of which you could order the GT option which included the wheels like this one has. Or you could order them like the lower one.





The last use of the "GT" emblem was for the 1969 Mustang GT:



Both the 69 and 70 Mach 1s used the plain caps as did all Mustangs with the optional wheels from 68 to 70.

Ford stopped offering the mag style wheels on the Mustang at the end of the 1967 model year. They were available as an option on 65 - 67 Mustangs. The wheels in the prior post replaced them.

We went to Door County a couple years ago and had to drive the road. It is actually a dead end that has a ferry to an island at the end.
