Its a cool find. I wonder when it was at Motion. There should be a date on the Holley 3bb.

According to FB post, block cast date is E-14-8 date and car is 05E cowl date..

I’d really like to know the back story on this car. Why not a 427 Yenko? Or why not a Baldwin Motion ?? Definite cool factor

Same. If the emblems and gas cap are correct, it started life as a 396 equipped 1968 SS/RS.

Maybe Yenko was too busy, too back logged,... and they sent it to Motion for the 427 swap.

Like mentioned above, the car has been known.
My understanding is that Joel acknowledged that with the parts on it, the car went thru his shop. No documents that delineate what work was done there.

Yenko did convert some non COPO 9737 1968 Camaros to 427.
The early 1968 Yenko 427 Camaros were not built on the COPO 9737 cars.

Hard to say what was done to this car and when it was done and where it was done.

I would post the photos on the PA drag racing sites to see if some one knows the car and original owner.

I posted the drag racing photo of the DY 454 1969 Motion Camaro that was at an auction and some guys on the PA drag racing site knew the car and original owner.
