'69 LM1 becomes an L78
Ah, the internet.
This gorgeous 396/375 Super Sport caught my eye and I googled the VIN just for the heck of it. Apparently it was a $7500 LM1 project back in 2010. Bugs me how the current seller calls it a "REAL SS 396 Camaro." I guess buyer beware, as usual. Latest Link: 1969 SS396 375hp Camaro For Sale 2010 Link: 1969 Camaro LM1 Project For Sale |

Great catch. It's scummy people and dealers like this that completely ruin the hobby. Somebody's gonna get burned...

Not that it will do any good but I reported the listing. They need to drop the word REAL.

No one seems to care.
A friend was interested in this. Took a few minutes to learn its history-a column-auto Malibu. The bud notified the dealer months ago; still out there. http://www.volocars.com/auto-sales/v...le-ss-454-l-s6 |

But it has that perfectly aged paperwork with it.. Looks like someone opened a parts catalog and went to town..

... I am surprised that "Classic Cars of Sarasota" would risk their reputation marketing this Hugger Orange Camaro as a "prototype" without at least having someone that is an expert in documenting these cars look this car over instead of just going by the info the owner has supplied.
...This really hurts their reputation. ... |
