Default 1971 Boss 351-Fords Ultimate Small block???

These cars were underappreciated, and out performed all previous small block and most big blocks Mustangs. Great colors, options and built to drive! The link below includes 33 pics.

Back in the day, I had a friend whose brother-in-law was a Powertrain Engineer at Ford in Detroit. He came home once with a silver & red 71 Boss 351 that they had 'massaged' just a wee bit Took us for one VERY impressive ride in it....wow!

This was probably the strongest running small block out of Detroit.

My folks ordered a new Highland Green 68 Mustang GT with a gold C stripe back in the day but if I could have any Mustang I wanted it would be a Grabber Blue 71 Boss 351, what a beautiful car!

The 1971 Boss 351 is the only Boss engine (302, 351, 429) that does not use an A.I.R. pump.

In 1972, there was the 351 HO, which was basically a low-compression Boss 351. That engine was available in a ragtop.
