Hi guys,
Car is now listed on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/203892086853 Brief history...the last owner purchased the car in 1978 while he was in high school in norther Illinois. Between 1978 and 1982, the car was transformed into the street machine you see in the photos. The incredible part is that the car remains untouched since 1982. The same tires are on it, the gauges still sit on the cowl behind the same L88 hood, and the Thrush mufflers sit just like they did in '82. The car participated in the Car Craft Street Machine Nationals in '82 and was featured in Andrew Morland's 1984 book, Street Machines. The owner had the car from 1978-2021. Also included in the photos below are some time slips, and Homecoming parade photos from 1980. Here are a few mechanical details: 4 Barrel Holley 650 Carb. Holley high rise aluminum manifold M-21 4 Speed Manual transmission with 2.52 first gear Hurst shifter with Reverse Lock out and front brake line lock 10 Bolt 4.11 Posi Power Steering Fiberglass L-88 Hood and complete fiberglass front end All sheet metal had been replaced (door skins, quarter panels, back panel) Traction Bars. Sub frame connectors Battery mounted in the trunk Electric fuel pump The car runs and drives, but fluids should be changed, etc, if someone would like to drive the car more regularly. If anyone has interest, please message me and we can connect. The Camaro is located in Mazomanie, WI 53560, about 30 minutes northwest of Madison. $36,900 Last edited by Tidmack; 04-01-2022 at 02:36 PM. |

Wow, what a time machine! Those rear tires are a real throwback.
As an aside, I won a Doug Nash 5 speed trans as a participant at the 1982 Car Craft Street Machine Nationals in Springfield IL ![]()
