I thought with races that had totally stock cars they would have to remove trim rings and wheel covers so they don't come off during a race and cause a potential issue. Yes, no??

Not for the "Pure Stock Muscle Car Drags" or "FAST" series.

https://www.psmcdr.com/

Trim rings and caps are left in place, to complete the effect of showroom stock appearing vehicles out there duking it out, in the case of the FAST cars with unbelievably quick elapsed times.

Those look like Pure Stockers at an event in Stanton Michigan (Mid Michigan Motorplex).

But for typical competition at an NHRA sponsored event or track: yes.

Heeeeeee's BACK!

What a PITA!. Have been without internet service since Tues. morning around 6:30 AM. Went to "geezer hour" at my local Walmart. When I came home, no more internet. They said they would come this Saturday to fix but the tech came just a few minutes ago and fixed it. Blown Port - whatever that means. Moved me to an unused port and our life is back to normal. Both Alex and I enjoy Netflix, Disney+, Hulu and a whole bunch of other streaming services that require the internet to work.

Will try to post some photos later today.
