?--how to weld-- ?
I no this is kind of off beat, but doe's any one no how to weld magnesium is there a special mag wire for mig welder or ? --thank you very much --

I tig it with a potmetal rod I get from my local supply shop.I don't think there is a mig available.Jeff

You really need a tig welder that will AC weld, MG oxidizes very quickly and the +/- switching of the tig acts as a cleaning process so that clean metal is being welded to. The same is true for AL although to a much lesser scale.
