Default Value of a matched set of AO Super Sport rims

I have a matched set of 4 all AO 9 11 Super Sport rims that I need to establish a fair value on. I cleaned up and primered 3 of the rims many years ago, and the fourth rim I left untouched so the other three could be restored correctly. Opinions on fair value for these rims? Thanks Frank

Post AO wheels...

Only two applications...Nova SS or Chevelle/El Camino SS.

A dated set of 4 should command a premium for someone who needs them for their car...are the lug nut holes in good shape??

Dates may be a little early for the 454 intro...but, I'll let the gurus comment on that.

I'm thinking more like $200 each...I've seen singles online for $300.

Others will chime in I'm sure...

Had a matched set advertised for $600 and they were bare metal ready for restore. 2 years on CL and not one bite. Good thing, I used them for a set of street tires on my car so I could run the outdated repop bias plys only for show. Sales venue is key, if you're going ebay or the like, the sales price could likely be 30% or more higher, but when it all shakes out, not worth it IMO.

As stated, I think that higher end of the $$ scale on a matched set comes only from the buyer that needs that date range. Most people that want a generic set of SS wheels will take any AOs or YAs they can get a hold of, and there is always plenty of those. I would get yours on Chevelle/Camino specific websites as you may get a more dialed on audience looking for specific dates

Major desirability bonus if the lug hole chamfers aren’t hogged out on the set. Post nice closeups of the lugs and the valve stem stampings for best results.

I've found complete sets that are dated late Dec 69 thru April 70 bring premium money.
