Default 1972 SS Nova Emblem Placement

Hey Guys, just started putting all of the emblems on my nova and I was wondering if anyone had a picture of the SS emblem on the fender of a 72' nova. I have the assembly manual and the placement of the emblem is very vague. I know its not really exact, but any picture or advice would be appreciated.

68-72 Nova did not have an SS emblem on the fender - only on the grill and on the trim between the tail lights.

73 did have an SS emblem on the fenders, grill, and trunk lid.

74 had a big ol' SS decal on the fenders, trunk, and emblem on the grill.

I liked the look of the 74 SS cars with the decals.. My neighbor had one when I was about 13 years old.. I always thought it was cool looking.. You don't see them either..

No SS emblem on 69-72 Nova fenders. The 68SS did but it was about 2 feet long

My first car was a 72 Nova... Although totally incorrect, I thought it would look cool with SS fender emblems, so I used some from a 69 Camaro, placed directly under the Nova script like on a Camaro...Also blacked out the window trim, added 70 parking lights and black Chevelle style stripes...yeah, I know its all wrong, but hey, I was 16. At least I painted the NOS headlight bezels to match the grill, which many folks still do incorrectly til this day...Sorry for the crappy pic, but you get the idea. I still miss this old car!

It does look good, but then again.... It's hard to make a Nova look bad .
