Default Supercar Photographs

I have had an interest in Yenko's and other supercars since I attended the first Super Chevy Sunday in Indy in the early 80's. There were several 69 Yenko Camaros in attendance and I've been interested in them ever since. I enjoy taking pictures when I'm at shows, but I didn't go digital until 2008. I thought I would share with you guys the photos I've taken of Supercars since then. I know most of the cars are real, documented cars, but there are a few I'm not sure about. The owners insisted they were real, but I've never seen the VIN's listed as being known legit cars. I won't list the owners names or the state they're from, but I'll add any info the owners told me about the cars or info that was presented on signboards with the cars. I'll try to add a car every couple of days as I have time. Hopefully you guys enjoy the photos.

#1. This is a well known car that was sold new at Van T. Chevrolet in Mission KS. This was the October 2006 Feature Car on this site and it was also featured in Super Chevy in August of 2004. I believe when this car was first restored it didn't have the original engine, but it has since been found and I believe installed in the car.

#2. This is an early X66 car that was sold new at Gates Chevrolet in Mishawaka, IN. This is a mostly original paint car although the engine compartment appears to have been restored. I believe this is the car that Bill Hunter bought new, blew the engine, returned to the dealership, and exchanged for his Daytona Yellow car. Please correct me if I am wrong about that.

#3. I'm not sure if this is a real COPO car or not. The VIN is N672561 and the body number is NOR104398. The interior code is 711 and the paint code is 69 69 and it is an 08C X44 car with the X11 trim added. This is a 4 speed car with a console. I first saw this car at the Goodguys Show in Columbus in 2006. I do not know of any other documented COPO's with VIN's or body numbers close to this one so I'm guessing it's clone. If anyone knows anything about this car fill free to add what you know.

#4. This is the second to last 69 Yenko Camaro built and it was sold through Muscatel in Fargo North Dakota. According to the signboard this is a numbers matching car that was restored by Chuck Huber.

#5. This COPO Camaro was the 2008 Hemmings Goodguys Muscle Car of the Year and it won gold at the Camaro Nationals that year as well. The VIN is N665210 and it as an automatic car with a column shifter. It was advertised as a numbers matching car with a POP. I do not know which dealer it was sold from, but it was purchased out of KY in the mid 90's.

#6. This is a GM of Canada documented COPO that was sold new at Central Chevrolet/Oldsmobile LTD. in London ON. It has an M21 and is a radio delete car. It was featured in Camaro Performers a few years ago and it was in Art of the Muscle Car. It also won gold at the Chevy Vettefest in 2006. I took these pictures at Muscle Car City in Punta Gorda FL. The collection is in an old Walmart store. There are over 250 GM muscle cars on display. If you're ever in the area it's worth checking out.

#7. This COPO was sold new at Funston Chevrolet in Detroit MI. It was the September 2002 feature car on this site and it was featured in Chevrolet High Performance in the April 2004 issue. It has a 715 blue interior and it is an automatic car with a console. I believe the original engine exists, but it is currently running a ZL-1 and terrorizing the Factory Stock racing series. It has run as fast as 11.50's in Factory Stock trim.

X44 with the Endura bumper. Nice!
Why is the chin spoiler on there by itself? Are there two trunk lids for this car?

I'm not sure what happened to the rear spoiler. Sometime between 2009 and 2012 the rear spoiler was taken off. I know the car was stolen and a ransom paid to get it back sometime between those years. They may have repainted it when they got it back and took the spoiler off for whatever reason.
