Re: Grandfather's 68 SS Camaro.
(Link was of an old video- since deleted)
This was before the mirror was fixed. (I actually broke it on accident a year and a half earlier while washing it. Was using a long handle brush on the windows and accidentally hit the glass on the mirror.)

Re: Grandfather's 68 SS Camaro.
Yeah, it's way off. I'm not sure why.

Good Luck, Grandpa kept the car looking nice!

Re: Grandfather's 68 SS Camaro.
To be truthful, the resto was included when he bought it. Though he does know how to work on cars. Used to rebuild cars from the junk yard and sell them. I think it's off because when the car was restored, it had a points distributor, but dad and I put an MSD HEI distributor in it. Maybe there was something we forgot to do.

Re: Grandfather's 68 SS Camaro.
Anyone know when 1968 production started? VIN states it was built in the 3rd week of July. Not sure if that's July of 67 or 68.

Re: Grandfather's 68 SS Camaro.
September of 1967 is when production started for 68 models. Your grandfathers is July of 1968. Very late build car.
Does he still have the original owners manual? |

Re: Grandfather's 68 SS Camaro.
Which part of the VIN is the production number? Or serial.
