Elk Grove IL Racer - Mid 60's Nova - Raced mid 70

There was a guy that lived 1/2 dozen houses down the street from my house in EG in the mid 70's that raced I believe a BB Nova.

It was brown and he either worked at Colonial Chevy, or the car was sponsored by Colonial Chevy.

I still remeber him tuning the car-up on Sat afternoon with open headers for racing on Sunday

Anybody remember the car?

Did it have a fiberglass hood w/translucent flames painted on the front clip w/imron?
