1969 Chevelle 396/375 Turbo Hydramatic Black Convertible a car i will never forget

I worked at Luby Chevrolet in Boston Mass, in 1969 in the new car dept. Thís car came in to the dealer it was ordered but never sold to the guy who ordered it for unknown reasons, so the car sat around for a couple months and i had use of it as a car to run between new car storage lots and the service dept,That thing was FAST, Black with white bench seatSS 396, column shift, AM Radio Always wondered what happened to it

We would always cruise nearby Commonwealth Ave and find mechanics with customers cars or new cars looking to drag race off the nearest traffic light. All the car dealers were on Commonwealth Ave Ford,Chevrolet,Buick, Dodge,Pontiac.Oldsmobile.Mercury,Rambler.At every set of traffic lights there was black rubber on the road from the burnouts Many memories from those days.The cops never bothered us because it was likely that they bought a car from one of those dealers
