This 68 Cuda Hemi Super Stock is also a factory BO29 car. Eddie Smith raced this car as the "West Virginia Hemi". This was the best sounding car at the auction and really crackled when they started it up in the staging lanes. It had a recently rebuilt Reher Morrison engine in it.
It sold for $105K.

This Lemon Twist Yellow 70 Hemi Cuda is a 4 speed car with 4.10 gears. It had an older restoration and sold for $205K.

This Jamaica Blue 70 Hemi Cuda is a TorqueFlite car with 4.10 gears. I don't believe this car has any of its original drivetrain. It was bid to $200K.

I believe that Kevin S bought this one....

----Later this BO29 ended up with Dale Smith in Bloomington Ill. He brought it back to racing specs for nostalgia stuff. Dale (RIP) and I were close friends and he wanted to go to the same nostalgia stuff I was doing with Red Alert. Around 93 or 94ish we both went to the Field of Dreams at the Quaker City get together and Dale got Ronnie to show up. Ronnie brought his Pro-Mod Comet and the big rig. He was supposed to run Bill Porterfield in the No.1 ZL1 with the BO29 in some match races, but Bill broke something during testing. The promoter came to me and asked if I'd step in among a few others. Of course, I said yes. I didn't care how bad he beat me as I could say "I raced Ronnie Sox". I said, you guys got to give me something as Dales car was a second and a half faster than RA and we settled on 3/4's of a second. I wasn't exactly happy, but what the hell! We did our burnouts and there were a lot of cameras out there for the race. I still believe that Ronnie just wasn't used to someone leaving 3/4 of a second before him. I, of course, didn't see him leave and I hooked up as well as I ever did. I saw him coming but it seemed like he was too far back. I hadn't seen him stand the car practicly on the bumper. Ronnie had holed the oil pan on the way down but didn't know it and was chasing me down. I just squeaked by him and felt pretty damn good going back to the pits. We were pitted next to each other, and I went over and (stupidly) gave him a Red Alert hat. Moments later I saw him throw it in a trash can. Ronnie did not like to be beat, even in a little nothing race for him. My modest racing claim to fame.....Bill S

Bill, Do you remember being at Dale’s house/farm outside of Bloomington for a Bloomington Gold party/BBQ.
Arnie Beswick had Tameless Tiger and Ronnie Sox had Lil Boss and they were doing burn outs on Dales driveway!!
I was 16 years old at the time, I still remember how awesome that moment in my life was.
I couldn’t believe my eyes and ears. It was incredible!!!

----Sure do, Dave! If you remember I took Jack M for a short trip and got a bit of traction and got one wheel off the ground. Jack wouldn't admit to it but it scared him a bit.....Bill S

Here are some pictures from the MCACN Summer Meetup at the Gilmore Auto Museum. This Ontario Orange 71 LS6 Corvette is an unrestored car with 8.8K miles. It is an NCRS Duntov and Bloomington Gold Benchmark Winner. It was a Triple Diamond winner and MCACN in '21. Terry McManmon had this car at the show.
