Ac fuel pump dates
Does anyone know how to read the dates on ac fuel pumps? I have these 2 .

Study this http://nastyz28.com/forum/threads/ac...h-data.207770/ GM in the 60s had a 2 letter code where the first letter was the month A=Jan,B=Feb and so forth and the second letter represented the year, H=68, I=69,J=70 Starting in 71 the Julian date replaced the 2 letter. So 1=jan1st & 365= Dec 31st and all points in between. The Letter after the number, the year, still followed in order of previous, J=70, K=71...N=1974 Your pump is 297=297th day of the year (end of October) and N=74

Ok. That makes sense
The 727 I pulled from a 70 chevelle. Someone must of replaced it since if I'm reading this right it's a 1978 pump. Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it! |
