Default 1967 12 bolt rear

This rear was in an old drag car. According to the assembly stamp, it started life as 3.55 posi. It does have the traction bar bracket. I took the cover off, and this is what I found. Just judging by turning the pinion - I'd estimate 4.88 gears.

8 teeth on the pinion, count the teeth on the ring gear and divide by 8... 39 on the ring will get you 4.875

QP is a 3.07 posi, with metallic brakes. First one I've ever seen.

I think Jim Stubbings has had a couple. This one has been modified - perches removed, tubes welded to housing. Not much pitting though.
