Default Day-2 69 Z/28 "barn find"

My buddy Nick and I just bought this 1-owner 69 Z/28 on an estate auction.

It has some VERY cool Day-2 flavor!

Some details...
X77 car, 02D build. 8k tach w/ 6k redline
Lemans Blue, black interior, black vinyl top, black stripes, Rosewood wheel

302 is gone, and has a '72 dated LT-1 350 in it
M21 is original
BV code 4.10 rear is original
Bolt-in 4-point roll bar
Single carb Edelbrock TR-1X
Appliance headers with 4-bolt flanges
Lakewood bellhousing
Hurst Line-Lock
Slapper bars
Pro-stock style scooped pin-on fiberglass hood.
Cut and stretched rear wheel arches.

Last insurance card in the glove box was 1988

When we looked at the car, it had the center console full of old timeslips. Unfortunately, some jackass stole them all. We have pictures, but the slips are all gone.

Always wondered if that car had the original engine or not. I've driven by it hundreds of times since the late 90's here in Osky, it sat outside the original owners dad's house for years with a tarp on it, I stopped and looked at it once and got stung by a wasp. It was moved to another house by the old football stadium about 5 years ago but I hadn't seen it for the last 2 or 3 years. Nice to know it finally found a good home, congratulations Derek.

Would you happen to have any pictures of it where it sat?

The auctioneer said someone tried to steal it about 3 or 4 years ago. Owners found a strap hooked to it and tracks in the yard, but must not have been able to move it.
