Nice Looking 1980 Z-28 With Some Unique Options
I have no affiliation whatsoever with this car but thought that others here might being a NON-A/C, No T-Top, radio delete, 4-speed car with red interior. Price is $18,500

Re: Nice Looking 1980 Z-28 With Some Unique Options
My 79 base model was ordered with a 305 4 barrel/4sped,and 3.08 posi.It was a non A/C car with no T tps and crank widows. When I close the doors it sounds like a tin can.I amguessing not much sound deadener and undercoating was used either.I thought that was interesting.

Re: Nice Looking 1980 Z-28 With Some Unique Options
My guess is that car will be a tuff sell. While stripper cars were cool in the sixties I think most people like myself want these late seventies cars to be loaded with options. they are just cruisers anyway with no horsepower so you might as well enjoy them with air and T-Tops!

That is a rare bird but rareness may NOT matter with a car like this. Nice car though.

Re: Nice Looking 1980 Z-28 With Some Unique Option
Looks like someone that wanted the car to handle well and be comfortable while "styling" bought it originally ... IMHO, YMMV, etc
looking at the ad and the car pictures shows that it DOES have tilt and the deluxe interior, so comfort (other than a/c) and style seemed to be the concern. No radio cars were PLENTIFUL back then, aftermarket stereos were big business and a LOT of people viewed the OEM radios as "junk". t-tops were a high priced option (almost 10% of the base car cost) and made the cars rattle and flex worse than they did without them (not to mention how wet you would get ...). A/C was the 2nd most expensive option you could get next to t-tops so I feel that the car was not that unusual at all (for the time when it was new).

Re: Nice Looking 1980 Z-28 With Some Unique Option
when i worked at a Pontiac lot back in the 70's,all the Trans Am's came off the carrier with no radio.
our prep mechanics installed the radios when they sold.
