Default Original 57 Chevy 6 banger

$20k with less than 5.5 hours to go and reserve is already met.

Probably 107k miles.

Unless the sellers are incredible con artists (I don't think so) someone is getting quite the time capsule here.

If it were Tropical Turquoise, I would be all over it. Given what some of the current projects are going for, looks like a bargain to me.

Wish I had a bigger garage! What a beauty.

Sold for $28,875. I think that was a fair price.

I'll say one thing, y'all have changed my mind on a few things since I've been a member here.

As an example, I used to love the tall spoilers on a second gen Camaro. Now I love the short spoiler and can't stand the tall spoilers.

I can't join the "post" team though. On tri fives I much prefer the hard top. I'm not a fan of post cars when there is a non post version available.

I'd still rock the car that is the subject of this thread. Toss in a cheapo Blueprint 572 and a 6 speed, upgrade the brakes/suspension and add AC and it would be a sweet driver.

"On tri fives I much prefer the hard top."

Gotta agree there. I just have a soft spot as I had a 57 two door sedan in HS.

The sedans are a lot quieter on the road.

----My pet peeve on 55/56/57 two door HT's are the goofy flaps above the windows in the doors. Doesn't meen that I hate 2-dr ht's, but the flaps are just weird!!!....Bill S

That just makes them unique !

Neat car and crazy that it is still so original, but I still choke on the prices these cars are bringing now. They were $50 beaters when I was in high school...
