Why would a 14 mile car need the engine compartment "highly detailed"?

Most likely it was not stored correctly for the last 45 years would be my guess.

My suggestion to people restoring the engine compartment on a car with 14 miles on it: LEAVE IT ALONE.

There is a 78 4 speed Y82 black car in Tallahassee Fl with 10 miles on it and it is unrestored everywhere. I agree with the above, leave it alone!
