Default Anyone here know anything about jet boats from 1980

Looking for info on how to price a NOS1979 Checkmate Persuader Jet Boat. Guess I should have asked before I bought it.....

----The older Checkmates I would personally stay away from, But that's me. Possibility of a lot of rot in the stringers, transom, etc. Have the boat check out by a competent marine guy!.....Bill S

Thanks for the tips. It was purchased new by a local boat dealer in 1979 for his own personal use. A few years earlier he had purchased 3 450hp/454 Chevy LS6 engines from a local Chevy dealer. I actually purchased 2 of those engines from him about 20 years ago. He just never got around to putting it together and it so it sat the next 41 years in his warehouse until Friday.
