Power steering hoses. It uses a ram attached to the drag link instead of a integrated power steering box.

You'd think there was a way to protect the hoses ... the way they hand down looks like a problem fixin' to happen ...

Many have the wrong replacement hoses and no original brackets to hold them. In their original configuration, you never see them hanging down. I've rebuilt a number of Mustangs needing front frame sections and torque boxes and the original hoses are a biotch to untangle from their spaces to work under there.
