Interesting - I had never heard of a Hone OD before. Looks like someone is selling them. Pricey, but it says that it can handle 1000 HP. Apparently they were intended to bolt to a ford 9-inch.

Ad says the Elky also has a Corvette IRS. Kind of a neat build, but I agree that the pictures leave something to be desired.

Many of the Hone O Drives were bolted to the back of the trans -- a TH400 in this case ... TAZ

The modern version is designed for a 9 inch. The originals used a separate cross member and were attached to the back of the trans.
