Auran was a good regular Chevrolet dealer that sold a lot of mid 60s muscle cars due to an air base located there and that they were also the largest Chevrolet dealer in NW North Dakota at the time. They sold out to the present owner, Jim Ryan, back in the early 70s.
They sponsored a new 66 SS396 Chevelle with a transplanted L-72 back in the day at area drag strips.

I have a 67 Chevelle L78 that was sold from there, but have been trying for years for info for that dealership. I have talked to the owner but they have nothing from the old dealership. I have even checked with the historical society nothing. I do have the dealer number and zone if you don't have it.

Hello. I am new to the forum. Hope this works. I have a 66 SS chevelle and I just found the pro-tecto-plate in the car. It shows sold new at Auran Chevrolet in Minot ND. Saw this post and thought I would share. Anybody have any luck getting info from the dealership? I sure would like to know more on this one. It has the 427 emblems on it. Wondered if it might have been a transplant car. Shows dealer delivery as May 11 1966. Any info?

The car is regal red with red interior. Black vinyl top. Bench seat 4sp. The original name in the warranty booklet is (Richard Kallias of Minot, ND). If you look at. POP close you see another name and address that had been affixed to the POP. I assume from when car was sold again through a dealer. It is (Alan Pannick of Red Bank, NJ).
