I spent 6 years in my youth back in the Chicago area when Dick Butkus was still playing. He is a big part of why I am still a Bears fan in spite of all the lean years. My condolences to his family. RIP, Mr Butkus. You are gone now but not forgotten.

I saw a recent video of Dick Butkus dissing George McCaskey, George and I graduated from the same high school in 1974, but I didn't know him well.

THE BEST ever. Butkus played football the way it should be. Tough, physical and hit hard. Great player. You will never see toughness like this again. Thanks Dick Butkus, you made the game enjoyable to watch. RIP/
