The GM #1050104 Chassis reconditioning paint is still available from several of the the specialty parts houses. Not sure if it is still the same formula as originally (or if available in gallons) but back in the day (mid to late 80's) at the Corvette restoration shop I worked at we used it extensively and even had a small-ish dip tank we used for brackets and accessories when restoring them. This was when people were just starting to understand the factory process for painting things and the restoration houses were trying to duplicate those processes - flaws and all.
In regards to Chuck's question about durability - probably not even close to modern paint technologies available today. Back then we'd use Sikkens Rally Black or DuPont Imron with a flattener if you wanted something more durable.
