Default Orig Paint '63 Corvette SWC Non-Running Project

Priced high as expected for a '63, but this actually looks to be a very nice, unmolested car. Bummer that the seller is suggesting the possibility of an LS conversion, but hey, it's 2021 and I would be stoked to see this car back on the road regardless.

Love it but anyone that would consider doing an LS conversion to this car should be sent in for a psychiatric evaluation IMO. I'd get it running and preserve it as is. Cars like this get more attention than a restored car and are twice as much fun to drive.

Thanks for posting Tony.

What’s with the rust around the VIN tag rivet locations?

Could that that rub-through on the quarter be from being tarped?

The rust around the VIN tag is just flash rust. They ground the birdcage before spot welding the tag when produced

I'm thinking someone started to work on the body seams for whatever reason. It's a car that deserves a closer look considering the hysteria revolving around SWC's right now.

A buddy has a survivor twin to this car and it has aged in near identical fashion.

Was listed on ebay about a month ago in Texas, with an even more sparse description. I am always wary of cars being flipped in Florida, but that's just a personal bias I suppose.

Looks like a great body, and the tags are definitely original. Lots to like here except the 250hp base engine that should never have been offered in a Corvette (also personal bias).

----RD is a 327/300hp engine. It's sad that the owner (I guess) sanded down those areas as this car would do well as a survivor with a basic clean up and a few repairs.....Bill S

That is correct. When it was advertised in Texas there were no pad pics and it was stated a 250 HP car. Lack of HP decals on the valve covers suggested that it was accurately a 250 car, which is not the case.
